EXPERIMENTAL PAINTING WORKSHOP
During this workshop you will learn how to use acrylic and oil paint in a fresh, fluid and unique way. We will use experimental mark making and build up layers of paint that reveal and respond to marks made previously, you will create your own layered canvas using acrylic paint initially followed by oils. You will learn new techniques, such as how to use layered glazes using a range of tools to create subtle and refined marks. Working on a variety of surfaces, firstly creating smaller works on paper, followed by canvas. I will demonstrate many exciting dynamic painting techniques such as imprinting with rags, plastic, and ways to reveal under layers using various glazing techniques.

You will be working in a small group in a relaxed informal setting with demonstrations and practical help throughout, suitable for beginners and those with some experience, a great opportunity to loosen up, build confidence and improve your painting skills.
